Krytox 205g0 10g

The Krytox 205g0 is a grease lubricant and takes the standard, thicker grade 2 variant and thins it out to transform it into the perfect consistency for keyboard enthusiasts’ use.

Specification

This is a high-viscosity perfluoropolyether (PFPE) grease, thickened with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It has the softness of brown mustard. It uses a high-efficiency thickener, with very low molecular weight. Therefore it can benefit the acoustic properties of the grease when in use. The Krytox 205g0 is recommended for both Linear and Tactile mechanical keyboard switches but with a very light application.

Environment Friendly – Reusable

This product comes packaged in re-usable plastic pots, which we find to be easier to work with and will be harder to break in transit. As well as being more environmentally friendly than other containers. Notably such as disposable ‘toothpaste tubes’ and syringes.

Lubing Switches

The Krytox 205g0 grease is one of the mechanical keyboard community’s go-to lubricants for lubing switches and stabilizers. Additionally, here’s a guide on how to Lube Switches – Taeha Types (Youtube Link)
– 10g is enough for around 400 switches if using a thin coat.
In general, one should consider “less is more” when lubing with 205g0. Over-application of the grease will cause poor sound and typing feel on switches.
